The |stomach| is a curved, |bladder|-like organ between the lower end of the |esophagus| and the pyloric opening into the |duodenum|. Its curvatures are descriptively divided into the greater and lesser curvature. The |greater curvature| is the broad, outer curvature which forms the left side (the body's left, the viewer's right) and the bottom of the |stomach|. The lesser curvature is the inner, acute curvature of the right side, which features an angular notch in its upper surface.
